Oak and Vine (GIMP’d up)

Oak and Vine (GIMP’d up), originally uploaded by lenfirewood.

Tree trunk of oak tree with vine – taken with my Olympus c350 3.2mgp camera – then processed in the GIMP to add a ‘textured’ surface then some mild vignetting applied in picnik.

  2. Thanks Malice – you’ve become a bit of a texture maestro yourself. 🙂

  3. beautiful texture and i like the repetition in the composition

  4. Thanks artpredator – tree bark often has it’s own natural patterns and the texture of this tree bark really caught my eye – it’s also a good subject for the textursied layer masking technique that I have adopted. 🙂
